Stellar Magpie Creations specializes in beaded and chainmail earrings, woven and knitted wire bracelets and necklaces, glittering bookmarks and other fine crafts sure to catch any magpie's eye.
Created by two Toronto-area writers/artists, Stellar Magpie was based on a deep-seated need for affordable sparkly jewelry. It got out of hand from there.
About the Artists
Sarah
Sarah graduated with a zoology degree from the University of Toronto, which she of course uses to have as much fun at work as possible. By day she is a mild-mannered facilitator at one of the most prestigious museums in Canada (which is is the process of being devoured by a giant silicate amoeba from space), and by night she indulges her inner geek working at North America's oldest Science Fiction bookstore.
Sarah is also the author of stories in ODYSSEY and FANTASTIC COMPANIONS (yes, that's her griffin), though she hopes to be the author of many more.
Oh, and she also likes to make jewelry.
Karina

A recent escapee from York University, Karina proudly possesses the most general degree she could find -- an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Humanities -- and the highly educational thirteen months of work at one of Canada's largest and most political universities following graduation. She is now an IT consultant, and has no idea how that happened.
Karina's short fiction has or will appear in venues including STRANGE HORIZONS, LADY CHURCHILL'S ROSEBUD WRISTLET, and anthologies SUMMONED TO DESTINY, MYTHSPRING and CHILDREN OF MAGIC. She is, of course, working on a novel.
